She owned and ran the Art School “School of Artistic Expressions” for 5 years from 2003.

Joanne is passionate about working with both children and teens to improve their wellbeing and confidence by exploring creativity and building skills that allow them to develop their interests and artistic abilities as well as skills such as problem solving, resilience, planning and personal evaluation that can be transferred to other aspects of development.

She teaches Artistic techniques and skills by exploring mentor artworks by masters such as Monet, Picasso, Van Gogh, da Vinci and many more - By exposing children to these artists, students are taught the foundations of Artistic thought as they examine and discuss these masters whilst exploring the elements and principles of design through a variety of mediums and skill development and having a lot of fun doing it.

It is Joanne’s  belief that when her students enter the studio they become artists and work to produce artworks worthy of a place in their home exhibited with pride. As artists students need an audience for their masterpieces so at the end of each semester (Mid year and End of the year) Creative Kidz Academy will hold an exhibition of students' artworks and throughout the year other events such as family gallery visits and open air art experiences may be organised.

About Me - Isabelle Oborn

Biography

Isabelle Oborn is the vocal tutor here at Creative Kidz Academy with 21 years of musical experience behind her. Isabelle started her singing journey in 2001 at the age of 6 where she had her first vocal lesson and has had a love for music ever since.

Isabelle’s first big taste of the stage was in School Spectacular in 2008 and 2009, before performing in CASPA in her later primary school years. In high school Isabelle discovered her interest in musical theatre from her first school production of Beauty and the Beast in year 8 and went on to part take in community theatre around the Sutherland Shire. During her time in community theatre, Isabelle performed in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dream Coat, The Wizard of Oz and The Little Mermaid for Engadine Musical Society, The Addams Family Musical and Gypsy: A Musical Fable for Shire Music Theatre, as well as, Oklahoma and Jesus Christ Superstar for Miranda Musical Society.

During her musical theatre craze, Isabelle became involved in busking and began to perform at local markets such as Caringbah Markets and Shire Farmers Markets together with singing for restaurants during her spare time. During the later years of her high school education Isabelle continued to succeed, coming first in her cohort for both her ROSA in 2014 and HSC in 2016 for music and received early entry into her theatre degree at the University of Wollongong.

Eventually, Isabelle transferred to JMC Academy to complete her Bachelors in Contemporary Music specialising in performance in 2019, working along side mentors such as Steve Balbi from Noiseworks and Mi-Sex, Rick Grossman from the Divinyls and Shannon Brown from The Ten Tenors. During this time Isabelle also found a liking for singing different genres such as Jazz, Blues and Rock.

It was also in 2019, during a production of High School Musical at St Aidens Catholic Primary School where Isabelle began working with children as a vocal mentor and later working casually at Octave8 as a vocal tutor. Since then, Isabelle has found a passion for vocal tutoring and is thrilled to continue this at Creative Kidz Academy.
